Crown Cover: Behind the Brand

Crown Cover was founded in 2019 by Jordan Hauck, a stage 4 melanoma cancer survivor.  Jordan’s journey began with a diagnosis of Melanoma in the spring of 2013. He underwent groundbreaking clinical trial treatments at the University of Iowa Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center. Thankfully, Jordan beat the cancer and remained cancer-free for ten years! Motivated by his experience, Jordan established a business with a profound mission: to positively impact and support individuals battling skin cancer.

Thankfully, Melanoma treatments have advanced drastically over the past 10 years and continue to lead the way for treating other cancers using immunotherapy. Since late 2023, Jordan has been cancer-free again and is focused on growing Crown Cover sun protective clothing & accessories.

Jordan continues to inspire hope and drive meaningful change in the fight against cancer. His dedication stems from a personal understanding of the challenges faced by cancer patients and a passionate commitment to improving outcomes and quality of life for those affected by the disease. Our mission encompasses advancing awareness, promoting skin cancer prevention, advocating for innovative cancer treatment options, and supporting correlative research.

Every purchase of Crown Cover UPF sun protective clothing supports cancer research. A portion of the proceeds is given directly to The Cancer Bucket, our nonprofit foundation. Our product line will continue to grow, as will our mission of “Sun Safety with a Purpose.”
